Indonesian Seagrass Mapping Project Team leaded by Dr. Pramaditya Wicaksono (Universitas Gadjah Mada) has been invited to WEF Ocean 20 (O20), a side event of G20 Presidency Summit. The O20 event was held on November 14th – 15th 2022 at Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center (BNDCC), Bali.
Our team proudly present our project to the O20 visitors through the standing booth exhibition. This exhibition last for two days starting from November 14th to 15th 2022.
We explain our project timeline that has three phases to the visitors. Currently we are in process to finish the first phase that focused on compiling and analyzing information regarding to what kind of seagrass data that are most needed for the governmental institutions, non-governmental organizations, and universities.
In this first phase, we also analyze the position of each institution regarding to their influence and concern to the seagrass data. Our second phase will be focused on constructing a framework and a standard to map the seagrass in Indonesia. The last phases is the implementation of the second phase itself.
Hopefully, through this standing booth exhibition is able to increase the awareness of policy makers and stakeholders regarding the importance of seagrass data at the national scale or even at the international scale.
